EN – Libertalia is a theater company that brings toghether actors, animators and directors whose primary concern is to act collectively in the world. In this sense, we regard ourselves as a Théâtre Action company. The shows that we create and the workshops that we conduct all seek to reflect, through the actors’ speech, their point of view of the world. Convinced that human beings deserve to be defined beyond any borders or frontiers we pay particular attention to the international development of a theater network of exchange between all those who identify with the need to use theater to transform the world and not merely to represent it. Libertalia, a theater company that we would like to regard as the island from which we took our name, which was imagined by some pirates in the late 17th century to try to exist « without master nor slaves ».
